First Reflections
We always give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you. We’ve done this since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all God’s people.
Colossians 1:3-4
The opening of Pauls’ writing to the church in Colossae is exactly what I’ve been feeling toward South Hill in this first month. I have rejoiced in the marvelous things going on in this church! We have felt warmly welcomed and appreciate the food, tours, and prayers. What I have observed is that this church is positioned on the brink of something amazing, which God has yet to reveal. So, I continue to pray for you, for us.
Keep praying, studying, and worshiping. Keep believing that God can do amazing things. Keep trusting in the amazing abundance and providence of the Creator of the Universe who loves us enough (amazing, I know) that he gave even his own Son that we might have a way back to him. We have much work to do to share this greatest of all news with the world, but we also have much work to within ourselves to be better equipped to do so. Together, we can navigate through this journey of faith toward God’s amazing future.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Brian Siegle
