Pastoral Change 2022

It is a joy to know that my family and I will be moving to South Hill UMC this June to take up residence in the parsonage and to begin work as the pastor beginning July 3, 2022. It seems appropriate to give you some background on me and my family. I grew up in Annandale, VA and attended Annandale UMC. Holly grew up in Jarratt, VA and worshipped at Centenary UMC. She is a pediatric occupational therapist and is excited to get to live closer to her family in Lawrenceville, Emporia, and Jarratt. South Hill will be my seventh appointment.
My first was in England (95-96), South Sussex Charge (96-2000), Madison Charge (2000-2006), Remington UMC (2006-2012), Trinity UMC, Poquoson (2012-2017), and New Castle Charge (2017-2022). Holly and I have been married for twenty-two years.
We have two children: Will (20) and Hannah (18). Will is a sophomore at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA and Hannah is a first year Illustration major at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. Will is an avid sports fan and loves fishing. Hannah loves drawing, painting, and all visual arts. We look forward to meeting you soon and to the opportunity to serve, grow, learn, and witness the love of Christ in South Hill.
